Taryn Erickson M.S., OTR/L

Taryn Erickson, MS, OTR/L, is an AOTA certified and California licensed Occupational Therapist focusing her practice on clinic-based pediatric treatment and individual child, family, and school consultation services. After graduating from the University of California, Santa Barbara, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, Taryn earned her Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from California State University, Dominguez Hills, where she received the Academic Excellence Award upon graduation. 

Taryn specializes in the treatment and evaluation of children with various difficulties and delays related to fine motor, gross motor, visual motor, sensory processing, social-emotional, and adaptive skill development. Additionally, Taryn treats and evaluates various diagnoses, including Autism, Attention Deficit Disorder, genetic disorders, neurological disorders, sensory processing disorder, feeding problems, and developmental motor and coordination disorders. She also has extensive experience working with Developmental Optometrists and children with ocular motor, visual processing, visual-spatial, and visual-motor difficulties. 

Taryn loves getting to “play” with her clients while simultaneously targeting the child’s goals and strives to make each treatment session individualized, motivating, and fun. Taryn strongly believes in an interdisciplinary approach among teammates and other professionals. She builds a collaborative partnership among parents and caregivers to best support progress and carryover of learning and skill acquisition. 

 

Anna Baker M.A., OTR/L BCP SIPT

Anna Baker MA OTR/L BCP SIPT, has Board Certification in Pediatrics from the American Occupational Therapy Association.  She graduated from the University of Southern California and has worked in school-based, hospital, and community-based settings.  

Anna has certification in the Sensory Integration and Praxis Test (SIPT) and recently updated her knowledge in sensory integration with completion of the University of Southern California Chan Sensory Integration Certificate.

Specialized areas of practice include sensory integration, sensory-based oral processing difficulties, self-regulation of the child, motor planning difficulties, and motor development delays.  Anna has worked extensively with children diagnosed with autism and holds all three levels of the American Occupational Therapy Association Badge for Autism, which requires advanced study in the areas of evaluation, treatment, and consultation for children with an autism diagnosis.  

Anna is always continuing to build knowledge in the current, evidence-based treatment for various conditions.  She has focused coursework in treatment feeding methods such as Kay Toomey SOS approach and Marsha Dunn Klein Get Permission and is pursuing advanced practice in the area of feeding and swallowing.  Anna has also created programming to increase the generalization of skills via use of parent education activities and interdisciplinary collaboration techniques.  She is focused on providing services that create growth in areas of concern using the strengths of the child and caregivers.
